About the Author

Rosaria Piseri is the founder and sole shareholder of Algaran Teoranta, an award-winning seaweed company based in County Donegal, Ireland. Born in Italy, she moved to Ireland in 2001 after leaving an abusive marriage. She has spent more than two decades researching and developing seaweed-based products for food, cosmetics, and agriculture. She lives in the northwest of Ireland and plans to retire in 2031—though she admits she still doesn’t know what she wants to do when she grows up.
